Technical Particulars For Button Bits for DTH Hammer

 

Schedule  1              Button Bits for use in DTH Hammer for Water well drilling in hard rock formation with Drilling Rigs

 

Specification :

 

Button Bits for use with Down the Hole (DTH) Pneumatic Hammer for water well drilling in hard rock formation with drilling rigs generally conforming to IS: 11830 (Part 1)/ 1991 or IS:11830 Part 2/89.  Bits shall be compatible with different standard models and sizes of DTH hammers mentioned in Clause 3 of Annexure I. The Technical specification of bits shall be as per Annexure I. The offered bits shall be in the following sizes:-

Note to Tenderer   :-

 

 

1)         The supplier should be solely responsible to guarantee and ensure the total compatibility of the equipment with OEM.

 

2)         Pre despatch inspection report format forms a part of the contract.

 

3)         As regards tungsten carbide buttons manufacturers test certificate regarding             chemical/physical properties shall be submitted at the time of inspection for            

            verification of compliance to contract specification/declaration.

ANNEXURE - I

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR DOWN THE HOLE BUTTON BITS

1)         Button bits of different sizes placed in a geometrical pattern for maximum rock fracture or             fracturing any other geological formation so as to provide higher penetration rate and             extended bit life with reduced sharpening of bits with minimum gauge wear.

2) Button bits shall be suitable for use in down the hole pneumatic hammers for water well              drilling in hard rock or any other geological formation with drilling rigs generally             conforming to IS: 11830 Part I /1991 or IS:11830 Part II /1989.

3) Button bits shall be compatible with different popular models of hammers such as COP-4,COP-42/44, Mach-4, DHD4, DHD14, DH4C, DHD-340, QL-4/40, DHD-16A, DHD-160/360, QL-6/60, Mission Mega, Mission-6, RD-6, SD-6, COP-6/62/64, Mach-62, Bison, DHD-17, DHD-380, QL-80, A-63-15, SO-8, COP-84, COP-84LV, mission 85etc.

4) Hardness :- The recommended material for DTH button bits is EN-36. The    Bits shall be suitably heat treated and hardened with shank 50 to 65 HRC, at core 40 to      45 HRC .

5) Button bits shall be fitted with adequate no of tungsten carbide tips.

   The No. of TC buttons provided shall be declared by the tenderer.

6) Guarantee:

            A minimum drilling depth of 300 meters per bit in hard rock formation shall be guaranteed. For this purpose, records maintained in the log book of the consignee shall form the basis.

ANNEXURE -II

Data/Techinical specifications of Button bits offered

1)             Material:-Tenderer to declare the material and metallurgical properties of  raw materials.

            A)             Steel :             a)   Grade/specfn., of steel used to manufacture button bits.

                        b)Type of hardening ,carburizing with the depth of carburizing.

            B)            Tungsten carbide buttons:-

            a) Number of buttons for each type/size of bits.

2) Details of testing facilities available to test above parameters and performance of buttons bits shall be declared in the tender.

3)            Tenderer shall furnish the drawing/design of bits for each of the items quoted clearly high      lighting the basic parameters i.e.type and profile of spline, shank size and the lay out of buttons duly signed with the tender. The same shall form a part of

 the contract if awarded.

4)         Any other details which the tenderers want to claim.

5)             Deviation if any from the T/E requirements.

SCHEDULE  - “B”

The following amendments are made in the provisions of Form DGS&D-1001:

A.

The  existing  Para 2.2 of DGS&D-1001 will now read as under :-

This Rate Contract will be operated by the Indentors of the  Central Govt.   to be called as the Direct Demanding Officers (DDOs.) in addition to the Officers                                                        of the DGS&D.  There will not be a separate list of DDOs specifying particulars / Ministry / Department of an Indentor of the Central Govt. as a DDO for operating DGS&D Rae    Contracts.  It would be sufficient if the supply order placed by any Central Govt. Ministry, Department or the office of the Central Govt. contain an Undertaking to the effect that the authority placing the supply order is a Central Govt. Department / Office.

Add the following after clause 3. 1. as Clause 3.1.1.

The Supply order placed by the DDOs in DGS&D Form No.131 may also Include an indication with regard to the availability of funds and also carry the following Financial Certificate :-

                  I Certify that :-

a)      We are a Central Government Department drawing Funds from the       Consolidated Fund of India.

b)      The expenditure involved for this purchase has received the Sanction of the Competent Financial Authority.

c)      The funds are available under the proper Head in the sanctioned

       Budget Allotment for the year ……………………… and ;

d)      I have been fully authorized by the Department to sign the Supply

      Order and incur the liability in respect of the stores being ordered.

R/C holder  /Purchaser can legally revoke /cancel the Rate Contract at any time during the currency of the Rate Contract giving a notice of 45 days.  The revocation of Rate Contract on the part of the R/C holder shall take effect 45 days from the date of communication of revocation is received by the purchaser.  The cancellation of the Rate Contract by the Purchaser shall take effect 45 days from the date of issue of letter notifying the short closure.
