Sub: Distribution of Budget Estimates 2005-06 (Non-Plan) in respect of Demand No. 12- Department of Commerce, Major Head 2057-S&D, Minor Head 00.101 (Purchase), 01-DGS&D & 00.102 (Inspection), 01-DGS&D.

Sir,

I am directed to forward herewith Region-wise distribution of Budget Estimates 2005-06 as shown in OM No. G-20017/4/2005-FV dated 31.03.2005 in respect of Demand No. 12 as per Annexure I & II. All the controlling officers are requested to ensure that the allocations under various object heads in the Budget Estimates 2005-06 are not exceeded under any circumstances. It may also please be noted that the concerned officer will be held responsible to issue suitable instructions down the line not to incur expenditure in excess of the allocation in the Budget Estimates 2005-06. Parliament has passed the “Vote on Account” for the month April & May, 2005 in the Financial year ending on 31^st March, 2006. It may also be noted that no expenditure on “New Service” is to be incurred until the demands for whole year are voted by parliament.

2. All the Regional Offices/concerned Sections at Headquarters are advised to ensure that expenditure during April to May, 2005 does not exceed one sixth of the total funds allocated (Head-Wise) for 2005-2006.

I am directed to invite a reference to the Computerization and Training Directorate’s I.D. Note No.G-11001/1/2005 C&T dt.21.7.2005 (copy enclosed for ready reference) wherein Administration Dte. Has been requested to transfer Plan Funds amounting to Rs.17,12,700/- to the 29 regional/Field Offices to be utilized by them for the purpose of Broadband connectivity, AMC and consumables.

2. Accordingly, allocation of Plan funds which was communicated vide this office letter of even no. dt.02.05.2005 has been revised and the same is reflected in Annexure-A & B enclosed to this letter. Regional/Field offices are requested to inform the C&T Dte about the utilization of Plan funds placed at their disposals in connection with Broadband connectivity, AMC and consumables etc. All the Regional Offices are requested to forward the monthly expenditure statement separately in respect of Plan Budget on the 1^st day of every month .
